Sit back in an air-conditioned coach and enjoy your tour with commentary from an experienced driver-guide. Witness spectacular sunrises and sunsets at Uluru, and walk around the base of Uluru and the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta. Discover numerous sacred sites and learn the significance of Aboriginal culture, art and local plants and native flowers. Be wowed by the magical 50,000 globes of light in the desert as they gradually fade out as the sun rises.
On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport, take the Ayers Rock Airport Shuttle transfer to your hotel. (flights to arrive prior to 1.30pm).
Enjoy the rest of the day on your own. There are various activities available. Visit the Tour & Information Centre located at the Resort Town Centre for more information.
Please Note: If you are arriving via Flight, you may not have time to check into your hotel room before your afternoon tour departure time. Please have a Day Pack ready to go which includes the following items – Appropriate walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, warm jacket during the cooler months & a minimum of 1 liter of water.
Wake up early and start your day with a beautiful Uluru Sunrise at the viewing platform. Travel approx. 40 km to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. Explore and walk through the trail of Walpa Gorge that follows nature creek between two of the tallest domes.
Lunch (at own expense)
This afternoon visit Uluru- Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and travel around the base of Uluru with the commentary of your experienced Driver Guide. Learn about the local plants, native flowers, and the intriguing culture of the traditional owners of Anangu. Join your guide for a walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole via Kuniya Walk. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset while relaxing with a glass of sparkling wine and nibbles as the sun sets.
An early start again to get close to the magical Field of Light installed in a remote desert area with more than 50,000 globes of light. This was created by the internationally renowned artist Bruce Monro inspired by his trip to Uluru over 27 years ago.
Make your way up the hill to the sunrise viewing platform. Grab a hot drink and enjoy your beverage as the sun rises. Watch the Field of Light dimming as the natural light brightens the landscape.
Return to the resort for breakfast or get ready for your transfer to Ayers Rock Airport. (flights to depart after 9:45 am (OCT-MAR) or 10:30 am (APR-AUG)).
