Welcome to Sapporo, Hokkaido!
Upon arrival at New Chitose Airport, you’ll be greeted by a Kintetsu tour escort and board the private transfer to HOTEL MYSTAYS PREMIER Sapporo Park.
On the way to the hotel, you’ll receive your welcome pack including all meal vouchers and ski lift/rental/lesson vouchers. We’ll also have a Q&A session before arriving.
After breakfast at the hotel, the ski shuttle bus will take you to the ski resort (approx. 90 minutes).
Upon arrival, get fitted for your rental ski gear and clothing. Then it’s time for the 2-day ski adventure to begin! You’ll start things off right with a 4-hour private lesson to get up to speed with the basic skiing skills from a licensed English-speaking instructor. Then it’s time to step out and put your new skills to the test!
After a day on the slopes, it’s time to return to the hotel. Spend the evening at your leisure. Check out the Susukino nightlife area or some retail therapy at Tanukikoji shopping street. Or if you’re worn out from your first day of skiing, relaxing at the hotel’s natural hot spring spa is a great choice too!
We start the day by returning to the ski resort for your second day of skiing. Grab your rental gear and head back out there!
Reach the top of Mount Teine for a spectacular view of the Ishikari Plain and Ishikari Bay. On a clear day, you can even see as far as Sapporo and the Daisetsu Mountain ranges.
Start with the beginner-friendly 6km-long slope that leads you from the top of the mountain to the bottom. When you feel comfortable, try the challenges of the other slopes at your own pace.
After returning to the hotel, try visiting the Ganso Sapporo Yokocho (Ramen Alley). Warm up with a delicious, steaming bowl of miso ramen using your ramen voucher to celebrate your new skills.
This morning, go on a tour of the must-see places in Sapporo with your Kintetsu tour guide. We’ll start at the Sapporo Central Wholesale Outer Market, home to over fifty shops, including fish, meat and veggie shops and restaurants. The displays of fresh crab alone are stunning! From there, visit the historically significant Hokkaido Jingu Shrine that was built over 150 years ago. Cruise by the soaring Sapporo TV Tower and Sapporo Clock Tower from the comfort of the private coach.
Before lunch, visit Sapporo Beer Museum and take a Premium Tour and learn the history of Sapporo Beer. Here you’ll also have the opportunity to sample both old and new beers directly delivered from their plants.
For lunch, you’ll try a Hokkaido favourite, Genghis Khan (all-you-can-eat lamb BBQ), including all-you-can-drink! Cook up a storm at your table in this beer hall setting while enjoying freshly-brewed Sapporo Beer.
We’ll then return to the hotel, where you’re free to continue exploring Sapporo at your leisure for the rest of the afternoon and evening.
After breakfast, we visit the charming port town of Otaru, known for handcrafted glassware and musical boxes. Here you can explore the wonderfully preserved canal that played a vital role in the town’s port history in the 1950s. We will also visit one of Otaru’s museums to get more of an understanding of the history of Otaru and Hokkaido.
Before returning to the hotel, we’ll first enjoy sushi for lunch with fish sourced directly from the Otaru fish market.
You are free to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure. We recommend checking out the glittering winter night illumination around the city.
As our tour comes to an end, enjoy your morning before meeting your tour escort at the hotel lobby for a private transfer back to New Chitose Airport.
We look forward to welcoming you again to Hokkaido. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
